37) সূরা আস-সাফফাত (মক্কায় অবতীর্ণ), আয়াত সংখ্যা 182

ﺑِﺴْﻢِ ﺍﻟﻠّﻪِ ﺍﻟﺮَّﺣْﻤـَﻦِ
ﺍﻟﺮَّﺣِﻴﻢِ
শুরু করছি আল্লাহর
নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়,
অতি দয়ালু।

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful.
ﻭَﺍﻟﺼَّﺎﻓَّﺎﺕِ ﺻَﻔًّﺎ
(1
শপথ তাদের যারা সারিবদ্ধ
হয়ে দাঁড়ানো,
By those (angels)
ranged in ranks (or
rows).
ﻓَﺎﻟﺰَّﺍﺟِﺮَﺍﺕِ ﺯَﺟْﺮًﺍ
(2
অতঃপর
ধমকিয়ে ভীতি প্রদর্শনকারীদের
,
By those (angels)
who drive the clouds
in a good way.
ﻓَﺎﻟﺘَّﺎﻟِﻴَﺎﺕِ ﺫِﻛْﺮًﺍ
(3
অতঃপর মুখস্থ
আবৃত্তিকারীদের-
By those (angels)
who bring the Book
and the Qur’ân from
Allâh to mankind
[Tafsir Ibn Kathîr].
ﺇِﻥَّ ﺇِﻟَﻬَﻜُﻢْ ﻟَﻮَﺍﺣِﺪٌ
(4
নিশ্চয় তোমাদের মাবুদ এক।
Verily your Ilâh (God)
is indeed One (i.e.
Allâh);
ﺭَﺏُّ ﺍﻟﺴَّﻤَﺎﻭَﺍﺕِ ﻭَﺍﻟْﺄَﺭْﺽِ
ﻭَﻣَﺎ ﺑَﻴْﻨَﻬُﻤَﺎ ﻭَﺭَﺏُّ ﺍﻟْﻤَﺸَﺎﺭِﻕِ
(5
তিনি আসমান সমূহ, যমীনও
এতদুভয়ের মধ্যবর্তী সবকিছুর
পালনকর্তা এবং পালনকর্তা
উদয়াচলসমূহের।
Lord of the heavens
and of the earth, and
all that is between
them, and Lord of
every point of the
sun’s risings. (None
has the right to be
worshipped but
Allâh).
ﺇِﻧَّﺎ ﺯَﻳَّﻨَّﺎ ﺍﻟﺴَّﻤَﺎﺀ ﺍﻟﺪُّﻧْﻴَﺎ ﺑِﺰِﻳﻨَﺔٍ
ﺍﻟْﻜَﻮَﺍﻛِﺐِ
(6
নিশ্চয়
আমি নিকটবর্তী আকাশকে
তারকারাজির দ্বারা সুশোভিত
করেছি।
Verily! We have
adorned the near
heaven with the stars
(for beauty).
ﻭَﺣِﻔْﻈًﺎ ﻣِّﻦ ﻛُﻞِّ ﺷَﻴْﻄَﺎﻥٍ
ﻣَّﺎﺭِﺩٍ
(7
এবং তাকে সংরক্ষিত
করেছি প্রত্যেক অবাধ্য
শয়তান থেকে।
And to guard against
every rebellious
devil.
ﻟَﺎ ﻳَﺴَّﻤَّﻌُﻮﻥَ ﺇِﻟَﻰ ﺍﻟْﻤَﻠَﺈِ
ﺍﻟْﺄَﻋْﻠَﻰ ﻭَﻳُﻘْﺬَﻓُﻮﻥَ ﻣِﻦ ﻛُﻞِّ
ﺟَﺎﻧِﺐٍ
(8
ওরা উর্ধ্ব জগতের কোন কিছু
শ্রবণ করতে পারে না এবং চার
দিক থেকে তাদের
প্রতি উল্কা নিক্ষেপ করা হয়।
They cannot listen to
the higher group
(angels) for they are
pelted from every
side.
ﺩُﺣُﻮﺭًﺍ ﻭَﻟَﻬُﻢْ ﻋَﺬَﺍﺏٌ ﻭَﺍﺻِﺐٌ
(9
ওদেরকে বিতাড়নের উদ্দেশে।
ওদের জন্যে রয়েছে বিরামহীন
শাস্তি।
Outcast, and theirs is
a constant (or
painful) torment.
ﺇِﻟَّﺎ ﻣَﻦْ ﺧَﻄِﻒَ ﺍﻟْﺨَﻄْﻔَﺔَ
ﻓَﺄَﺗْﺒَﻌَﻪُ ﺷِﻬَﺎﺏٌ ﺛَﺎﻗِﺐٌ
(10
তবে কেউ ছোঁ মেরে কিছু
শুনে ফেললে জ্বলন্ত
উল্কাপিন্ড তার পশ্চাদ্ধাবন
করে।
Except such as snatch
away something by
stealing and they are
pursued by a flaming
fire of piercing
brightness.
ﻓَﺎﺳْﺘَﻔْﺘِﻬِﻢْ ﺃَﻫُﻢْ ﺃَﺷَﺪُّ ﺧَﻠْﻘًﺎ
ﺃَﻡ ﻣَّﻦْ ﺧَﻠَﻘْﻨَﺎ ﺇِﻧَّﺎ ﺧَﻠَﻘْﻨَﺎﻫُﻢ
ﻣِّﻦ ﻃِﻴﻦٍ ﻟَّﺎﺯِﺏٍ
(11
আপনি তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস
করুন,
তাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করা কঠিনতর,
না আমি অন্য
যা সৃষ্টি করেছি? আমিই
তাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করেছি এঁটেল
মাটি থেকে।
Then ask them (i.e.
these polytheists, O
Muhammad SAW):
”Are they stronger as
creation, or those
(others like the
heavens and the
earth and the
mountains, etc.)
whom We have
created?” Verily, We
created them of a
sticky clay.
ﺑَﻞْ ﻋَﺠِﺒْﺖَ ﻭَﻳَﺴْﺨَﺮُﻭﻥَ
(12
বরং আপনি বিস্ময় বোধ করেন
আর তারা বিদ্রুপ করে।
Nay, you (O
Muhammad SAW)
wondered (at their
insolence) while they
mock (at you and at
the Qur’ân).
ﻭَﺇِﺫَﺍ ﺫُﻛِّﺮُﻭﺍ ﻟَﺎ ﻳَﺬْﻛُﺮُﻭﻥَ
(13
যখন তাদেরকে বোঝানো হয়,
তখন তারা বোঝে না।
And when they are
reminded, they pay
no attention.
ﻭَﺇِﺫَﺍ ﺭَﺃَﻭْﺍ ﺁﻳَﺔً ﻳَﺴْﺘَﺴْﺨِﺮُﻭﻥَ
(14
তারা যখন কোন নিদর্শন
দেখে তখন বিদ্রূপ করে।
And when they see
an Ayâh (a sign, a
proof, or an
evidence) from Allâh,
they mock at it.
ﻭَﻗَﺎﻟُﻮﺍ ﺇِﻥْ ﻫَﺬَﺍ ﺇِﻟَّﺎ ﺳِﺤْﺮٌ
ﻣُّﺒِﻴﻦٌ
(15
এবং বলে, কিছুই নয়,
এযে স্পষ্ট যাদু।
And they say: ”This is
nothing but evident
magic!
ﺃَﺋِﺬَﺍ ﻣِﺘْﻨَﺎ ﻭَﻛُﻨَّﺎ ﺗُﺮَﺍﺑًﺎ ﻭَﻋِﻈَﺎﻣًﺎ
ﺃَﺋِﻨَّﺎ ﻟَﻤَﺒْﻌُﻮﺛُﻮﻥَ
(16
আমরা যখন মরে যাব,
এবং মাটি ও হাড়ে পরিণত
হয়ে যাব, তখনও
কি আমরা পুনরুত্থিত হব?
”When we are dead
and have become
dust and bones, shall
we (then) verily be
resurrected?
ﺃَﻭَﺁﺑَﺎﺅُﻧَﺎ ﺍﻟْﺄَﻭَّﻟُﻮﻥَ
(17
আমাদের পিতৃপুরুষগণও কি?
”And also our fathers
of old?”
ﻗُﻞْ ﻧَﻌَﻢْ ﻭَﺃَﻧﺘُﻢْ ﺩَﺍﺧِﺮُﻭﻥَ
(18
বলুন,
হ্যাঁ এবং তোমরা হবে লাঞ্ছিত।
Say (O Muhammad
SAW): ”Yes, and you
shall then be
humiliated.”
ﻓَﺈِﻧَّﻤَﺎ ﻫِﻲَ ﺯَﺟْﺮَﺓٌ ﻭَﺍﺣِﺪَﺓٌ
ﻓَﺈِﺫَﺍ ﻫُﻢْ ﻳَﻨﻈُﺮُﻭﻥَ
(19
বস্তুতঃ সে উত্থান
হবে একটি বিকট শব্দ মাত্র-
যখন তারা প্রত্যক্ষ
করতে থাকবে।
It will be a single
Zajrah [shout (i.e. the
second blowing of
the Trumpet)], and
behold, they will be
staring!
ﻭَﻗَﺎﻟُﻮﺍ ﻳَﺎ ﻭَﻳْﻠَﻨَﺎ ﻫَﺬَﺍ ﻳَﻮْﻡُ
ﺍﻟﺪِّﻳﻦِ
(20
এবং বলবে, দুর্ভাগ্য আমাদের!
এটাই তো প্রতিফল দিবস।
They will say: ”Woe
to us! This is the Day
of Recompense!”
ﻫَﺬَﺍ ﻳَﻮْﻡُ ﺍﻟْﻔَﺼْﻞِ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻱ
ﻛُﻨﺘُﻢْ ﺑِﻪِ ﺗُﻜَﺬِّﺑُﻮﻥَ
(21
বলা হবে, এটাই ফয়সালার দিন,
যাকে তোমরা মিথ্যা বলতে।
(It will be said): ”This
is the Day of
Judgement which
you used to deny.”
ﺍﺣْﺸُﺮُﻭﺍ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻳﻦَ ﻇَﻠَﻤُﻮﺍ
ﻭَﺃَﺯْﻭَﺍﺟَﻬُﻢْ ﻭَﻣَﺎ ﻛَﺎﻧُﻮﺍ
ﻳَﻌْﺒُﺪُﻭﻥَ
(22
একত্রিত কর গোনাহগারদেরকে,
তাদের দোসরদেরকে এবং যাদের
এবাদত তারা করত।
(It will be said to the
angels): ”Assemble
those who did
wrong, together with
their companions
(from the devils) and
what they used to
worship.
ﻣِﻦ ﺩُﻭﻥِ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪِ ﻓَﺎﻫْﺪُﻭﻫُﻢْ
ﺇِﻟَﻰ ﺻِﺮَﺍﻁِ ﺍﻟْﺠَﺤِﻴﻢِ
(23
আল্লাহ ব্যতীত। অতঃপর
তাদেরকে পরিচালিত কর
জাহান্নামের পথে,
”Instead of Allâh, and
lead them on to the
way of flaming Fire
(Hell);
ﻭَﻗِﻔُﻮﻫُﻢْ ﺇِﻧَّﻬُﻢ ﻣَّﺴْﺌُﻮﻟُﻮﻥَ
(24
এবং তাদেরকে থামাও,
তারা জিজ্ঞাসিত হবে;
”But stop them,
verily they are to be
questioned.
ﻣَﺎ ﻟَﻜُﻢْ ﻟَﺎ ﺗَﻨَﺎﺻَﺮُﻭﻥَ
(25
তোমাদের কি হল যে,
তোমরা একে অপরের সাহায্য
করছ না?
”What is the matter
with you? Why do
you not help one
another (as you used
to do in the world)?”
ﺑَﻞْ ﻫُﻢُ ﺍﻟْﻴَﻮْﻡَ ﻣُﺴْﺘَﺴْﻠِﻤُﻮﻥَ
(26
বরং তারা আজকের
দিনে আত্নসমর্পণকারী।
Nay, but that Day
they shall surrender,
ﻭَﺃَﻗْﺒَﻞَ ﺑَﻌْﻀُﻬُﻢْ ﻋَﻠَﻰ
ﺑَﻌْﺾٍ ﻳَﺘَﺴَﺎﺀﻟُﻮﻥَ
(27
তারা একে অপরের দিকে মুখ
করে পরস্পরকে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ
করবে।
And they will turn to
one another and
question one
another.
ﻗَﺎﻟُﻮﺍ ﺇِﻧَّﻜُﻢْ ﻛُﻨﺘُﻢْ ﺗَﺄْﺗُﻮﻧَﻨَﺎ
ﻋَﻦِ ﺍﻟْﻴَﻤِﻴﻦِ
(28
বলবে, তোমরা তো আমাদের
কাছে ডান দিক থেকে আসতে।
They will say: ”It was
you who used to
come to us from the
right side [i.e. from
the right side of one
of us and beautify for
us every evil, order
us for polytheism,
and stop us from the
truth i.e. Islâmic
Monotheism and
from every good
deed].”
ﻗَﺎﻟُﻮﺍ ﺑَﻞ ﻟَّﻢْ ﺗَﻜُﻮﻧُﻮﺍ
ﻣُﺆْﻣِﻨِﻴﻦَ
(29
তারা বলবে,
বরং তোমরা তো বিশ্বাসীই
ছিলে না।
They will reply: ”Nay,
you yourselves were
not believers.
ﻭَﻣَﺎ ﻛَﺎﻥَ ﻟَﻨَﺎ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻜُﻢ ﻣِّﻦ
ﺳُﻠْﻄَﺎﻥٍ ﺑَﻞْ ﻛُﻨﺘُﻢْ ﻗَﻮْﻣًﺎ
ﻃَﺎﻏِﻴﻦَ
(30
এবং তোমাদের উপর আমাদের
কোন কতৃত্ব ছিল না,
বরং তোমরাই
ছিলে সীমালংঘনকারী সম্প্রদায়।
”And we had no
authority over you.
Nay! But you were
transgressing people
(disobedient,
polytheists, and
disbelievers).
