36) সূরা ইয়াসীন (মক্কায় অবতীর্ণ), আয়াত সংখ্যা 83

ﺑِﺴْﻢِ ﺍﻟﻠّﻪِ ﺍﻟﺮَّﺣْﻤـَﻦِ
ﺍﻟﺮَّﺣِﻴﻢِ
শুরু করছি আল্লাহর
নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়,
অতি দয়ালু।
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful.
ﻳﺲ
(1
ইয়া-সীন
Yâ-Sîn. [These letters
are one of the
miracles of the
Qur’ân, and none but
Allâh (Alone) knows
their meanings.]
ﻭَﺍﻟْﻘُﺮْﺁﻥِ ﺍﻟْﺤَﻜِﻴﻢِ
(2
প্রজ্ঞাময় কোরআনের কসম।
By the Qur’ân, full of
wisdom (i.e. full of
laws, evidences, and
proofs),
ﺇِﻧَّﻚَ ﻟَﻤِﻦَ ﺍﻟْﻤُﺮْﺳَﻠِﻴﻦَ
(3
নিশ্চয় আপনি প্রেরিত
রসূলগণের একজন।
Truly, you (O
Muhammad SAW) are
one of the
Messengers,
ﻋَﻠَﻰ ﺻِﺮَﺍﻁٍ ﻣُّﺴْﺘَﻘِﻴﻢٍ
(4
সরল পথে প্রতিষ্ঠিত।
On a Straight Path
(i.e. on Allâh’s
religion of Islâmic
Monotheism).
ﺗَﻨﺰِﻳﻞَ ﺍﻟْﻌَﺰِﻳﺰِ ﺍﻟﺮَّﺣِﻴﻢِ

কোরআন পরাক্রমশালী পরম
দয়ালু আল্লাহর তরফ
থেকে অবতীর্ণ,
(This is) a Revelation
sent down by the All­
Mighty, the Most
Merciful,
ﻟِﺘُﻨﺬِﺭَ ﻗَﻮْﻣًﺎ ﻣَّﺎ ﺃُﻧﺬِﺭَ ﺁﺑَﺎﺅُﻫُﻢْ
ﻓَﻬُﻢْ ﻏَﺎﻓِﻠُﻮﻥَ
(6
যাতে আপনি এমন এক
জাতিকে সতর্ক করেন, যাদের
পূর্ব পুরুষগণকেও সতর্ক
করা হয়নি। ফলে তারা গাফেল।
In order that you
may warn a people
whose forefathers
were not warned, so
they are heedless.
ﻟَﻘَﺪْ ﺣَﻖَّ ﺍﻟْﻘَﻮْﻝُ ﻋَﻠَﻰ
ﺃَﻛْﺜَﺮِﻫِﻢْ ﻓَﻬُﻢْ ﻟَﺎ ﻳُﺆْﻣِﻨُﻮﻥَ
(7
তাদের অধিকাংশের
জন্যে শাস্তির বিষয় অবধারিত
হয়েছে। সুতরাং তারা বিশ্বাস
স্থাপন করবে না।
Indeed the Word (of
punishment) has
proved true against
most of them, so
they will not believe.
ﺇِﻧَّﺎ ﺟَﻌَﻠْﻨَﺎ ﻓِﻲ ﺃَﻋْﻨَﺎﻗِﻬِﻢْ
ﺃَﻏْﻼَﻻً ﻓَﻬِﻲَ ﺇِﻟَﻰ ﺍﻷَﺫْﻗَﺎﻥِ
ﻓَﻬُﻢ ﻣُّﻘْﻤَﺤُﻮﻥَ
(8
আমি তাদের গর্দানে চিবুক
পর্যন্ত বেড়ী পরিয়েছি।
ফলে তাদের মস্তক
উর্দ্ধমুখী হয়ে গেছে।
Verily! We have put
on their necks iron
collars reaching to
chins, so that their
heads are forced up.
ﻭَﺟَﻌَﻠْﻨَﺎ ﻣِﻦ ﺑَﻴْﻦِ ﺃَﻳْﺪِﻳﻬِﻢْ
ﺳَﺪًّﺍ ﻭَﻣِﻦْ ﺧَﻠْﻔِﻬِﻢْ ﺳَﺪًّﺍ
ﻓَﺄَﻏْﺸَﻴْﻨَﺎﻫُﻢْ ﻓَﻬُﻢْ ﻻَ
ﻳُﺒْﺼِﺮُﻭﻥَ

আমি তাদের সামনে ও
পিছনে প্রাচীর স্থাপন করেছি,
অতঃপর তাদেরকে আবৃত
করে দিয়েছি,
ফলে তারা দেখে না।
And We have put a
barrier before them,
and a barrier behind
them, and We have
covered them up, so
that they cannot see.
ﻭَﺳَﻮَﺍﺀ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻬِﻢْ ﺃَﺃَﻧﺬَﺭْﺗَﻬُﻢْ ﺃَﻡْ
ﻟَﻢْ ﺗُﻨﺬِﺭْﻫُﻢْ ﻻَ ﻳُﺆْﻣِﻨُﻮﻥَ
(10
আপনি তাদেরকে সতর্ক করুন
বা না করুন, তাদের পক্ষে দুয়েই
সমান; তারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন
করবে না।
It is the same to
them whether you
warn them or you
warn them not, they
will not believe.
ﺇِﻧَّﻤَﺎ ﺗُﻨﺬِﺭُ ﻣَﻦِ ﺍﺗَّﺒَﻊَ ﺍﻟﺬِّﻛْﺮَ
ﻭَﺧَﺸِﻲَ ﺍﻟﺮَّﺣْﻤَﻦ ﺑِﺎﻟْﻐَﻴْﺐِ
ﻓَﺒَﺸِّﺮْﻩُ ﺑِﻤَﻐْﻔِﺮَﺓٍ ﻭَﺃَﺟْﺮٍ
ﻛَﺮِﻳﻢٍ
(11
আপনি কেবল তাদেরকেই সতর্ক
করতে পারেন, যারা উপদেশ
অনুসরণ করে এবং দয়াময়
আল্লাহকে না দেখে ভয় করে।
অতএব
আপনি তাদেরকে সুসংবাদ
দিয়ে দিন ক্ষমা ও সম্মানজনক
পুরস্কারের।
You can only warn
him who follows the
Reminder (the
Qur’ân), and fears the
Most Beneficent
(Allâh) unseen. Bear
you to such one the
glad tidings of
forgiveness, and a
generous reward (i.e.
Paradise).
ﺇِﻧَّﺎ ﻧَﺤْﻦُ ﻧُﺤْﻴِﻲ ﺍﻟْﻤَﻮْﺗَﻰ
ﻭَﻧَﻜْﺘُﺐُ ﻣَﺎ ﻗَﺪَّﻣُﻮﺍ ﻭَﺁﺛَﺎﺭَﻫُﻢْ
ﻭَﻛُﻞَّ ﺷَﻲْﺀٍ ﺃﺣْﺼَﻴْﻨَﺎﻩُ ﻓِﻲ
ﺇِﻣَﺎﻡٍ ﻣُﺒِﻴﻦٍ

আমিই মৃতদেরকে জীবিত
করি এবং তাদের কর্ম ও
কীর্তিসমূহ লিপিবদ্ধ করি।
আমি প্রত্যেক বস্তু স্পষ্ট
কিতাবে সংরক্ষিত রেখেছি।
Verily, We give life to
the dead, and We
record that which
they send before
(them), and their
traces [their
footsteps and
walking on the earth
with their legs to the
mosques for the five
compulsory
congregational
prayers, Jihâd (holy
fighting in Allâh’s
Cause) and all other
good and evil they
did, and that which
they leave behind],
and all things We
have recorded with
numbers (as a record)
in a Clear Book.
ﻭَﺍﺿْﺮِﺏْ ﻟَﻬُﻢ ﻣَّﺜَﻼً ﺃَﺻْﺤَﺎﺏَ
ﺍﻟْﻘَﺮْﻳَﺔِ ﺇِﺫْ ﺟَﺎﺀﻫَﺎ
ﺍﻟْﻤُﺮْﺳَﻠُﻮﻥَ

আপনি তাদের কাছে সে জনপদের
অধিবাসীদের দৃষ্টান্ত
বর্ণনা করুন, যখন
সেখানে রসূল আগমন
করেছিলেন।
And put forward to
them a similitude;
the (story of the)
dwellers of the town,
[It is said that the
town was Antioch
(Antakiya)], when
there came
Messengers to them.
ﺇِﺫْ ﺃَﺭْﺳَﻠْﻨَﺎ ﺇِﻟَﻴْﻬِﻢُ ﺍﺛْﻨَﻴْﻦِ
ﻓَﻜَﺬَّﺑُﻮﻫُﻤَﺎ ﻓَﻌَﺰَّﺯْﻧَﺎ ﺑِﺜَﺎﻟِﺚٍ
ﻓَﻘَﺎﻟُﻮﺍ ﺇِﻧَّﺎ ﺇِﻟَﻴْﻜُﻢ ﻣُّﺮْﺳَﻠُﻮﻥَ
(14
আমি তাদের নিকট দুজন রসূল
প্রেরণ করেছিলাম, অতঃপর
ওরা তাদেরকে মিথ্যা প্রতিপন্ন
করল। তখন
আমি তাদেরকে শক্তিশালী
করলাম তৃতীয় একজনের
মাধ্যমে। তারা সবাই বলল,
আমরা তোমাদের প্রতি প্রেরিত
হয়েছি।
When We sent to
them two
Messengers, they
belied them both, so
We reinforced them
with a third, and they
said: ”Verily! We have
been sent to you as
Messengers.”
ﻗَﺎﻟُﻮﺍ ﻣَﺎ ﺃَﻧﺘُﻢْ ﺇِﻻَّ ﺑَﺸَﺮٌ ﻣِّﺜْﻠُﻨَﺎ
ﻭَﻣَﺎ ﺃَﻧﺰَﻝَ ﺍﻟﺮَّﺣْﻤﻦ ﻣِﻦ
ﺷَﻲْﺀٍ ﺇِﻥْ ﺃَﻧﺘُﻢْ ﺇِﻻَّ ﺗَﻜْﺬِﺑُﻮﻥَ
(15
তারা বলল,
তোমরা তো আমাদের মতই
মানুষ, রহমান আল্লাহ কিছুই
নাযিল করেননি। তোমরা কেবল
মিথ্যাই বলে যাচ্ছ।
They (people of the
town) said: ”You are
only human beings
like ourselves, and
the Most Beneficent
(Allâh) has revealed
nothing, you are only
telling lies.”
ﻗَﺎﻟُﻮﺍ ﺭَﺑُّﻨَﺎ ﻳَﻌْﻠَﻢُ ﺇِﻧَّﺎ ﺇِﻟَﻴْﻜُﻢْ
ﻟَﻤُﺮْﺳَﻠُﻮﻥَ
(16
রাসূলগণ বলল, আমাদের
পরওয়ারদেগার জানেন,
আমরা অবশ্যই তোমাদের
প্রতি প্রেরিত হয়েছি।
The Messengers said:
”Our Lord knows that
we have been sent as
Messengers to you,
ﻭَﻣَﺎ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻨَﺎ ﺇِﻻَّ ﺍﻟْﺒَﻼَﻍُ ﺍﻟْﻤُﺒِﻴﻦُ
(17
পরিস্কারভাবে আল্লাহর
বাণী পৌছে দেয়াই আমাদের
দায়িত্ব।
”And our duty is only
to convey plainly (the
Message).”
ﻗَﺎﻟُﻮﺍ ﺇِﻧَّﺎ ﺗَﻄَﻴَّﺮْﻧَﺎ ﺑِﻜُﻢْ ﻟَﺌِﻦ
ﻟَّﻢْ ﺗَﻨﺘَﻬُﻮﺍ ﻟَﻨَﺮْﺟُﻤَﻨَّﻜُﻢْ
ﻭَﻟَﻴَﻤَﺴَّﻨَّﻜُﻢ ﻣِّﻨَّﺎ ﻋَﺬَﺍﺏٌ ﺃَﻟِﻴﻢٌ
(18
তারা বলল,
আমরা তোমাদেরকে অশুভ-
অকল্যাণকর দেখছি।
যদি তোমরা বিরত না হও,
তবে অবশ্যই
তোমাদেরকে প্রস্তর
বর্ষণে হত্যা করব
এবং আমাদের পক্ষ
থেকে তোমাদেরকে যন্ত্রনাদায়ক
শাস্তি স্পর্শ করবে।
They (people) said:
”For us, we see an
evil omen from you,
if you cease not, we
will surely stone you,
and a painful
torment will touch
you from us.”
ﻗَﺎﻟُﻮﺍ ﻃَﺎﺋِﺮُﻛُﻢْ ﻣَﻌَﻜُﻢْ ﺃَﺋِﻦ
ﺫُﻛِّﺮْﺗُﻢ ﺑَﻞْ ﺃَﻧﺘُﻢْ ﻗَﻮْﻡٌ
ﻣُّﺴْﺮِﻓُﻮﻥَ
(19
রসূলগণ বলল, তোমাদের
অকল্যাণ তোমাদের সাথেই!
এটা কি এজন্যে যে,
আমরা তোমাদেরকে সদুপদেশ
দিয়েছি?
বস্তুতঃ তোমরা সীমা লংঘনকারী
সম্প্রদায় বৈ নও।
They (Messengers)
said: ”Your evil
omens be with you!
(Do you call it ”evil
omen”) because you
are admonished?
Nay, but you are a
people Musrifûn
(transgressing all
bounds by
committing all kinds
of great sins, and by
disobeying Allâh).
ﻭَﺟَﺎﺀ ﻣِﻦْ ﺃَﻗْﺼَﻰ ﺍﻟْﻤَﺪِﻳﻨَﺔِ
ﺭَﺟُﻞٌ ﻳَﺴْﻌَﻰ ﻗَﺎﻝَ ﻳَﺎ ﻗَﻮْﻡِ
ﺍﺗَّﺒِﻌُﻮﺍ ﺍﻟْﻤُﺮْﺳَﻠِﻴﻦَ
(20
অতঃপর শহরের প্রান্তভাগ
থেকে এক ব্যক্তি দৌড়ে এল।
সে বলল, হে আমার সম্প্রদায়
তোমরা রসূলগণের অনুসরণ
কর।
And there came
running from the
farthest part of the
town, a man, saying:
”O my people! Obey
the Messengers;
ﺍﺗَّﺒِﻌُﻮﺍ ﻣَﻦ ﻻَّ ﻳَﺴْﺄَﻟُﻜُﻢْ ﺃَﺟْﺮًﺍ
ﻭَﻫُﻢ ﻣُّﻬْﺘَﺪُﻭﻥَ
(21
অনুসরণ কর তাদের,
যারা তোমাদের কাছে কোন
বিনিময় কামনা করে না, অথচ
তারা সুপথ প্রাপ্ত।
”Obey those who ask
no wages of you (for
themselves), and
who are rightly
guided.
ﻭَﻣَﺎ ﻟِﻲ ﻻَ ﺃَﻋْﺒُﺪُ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻱ
ﻓَﻄَﺮَﻧِﻲ ﻭَﺇِﻟَﻴْﻪِ ﺗُﺮْﺟَﻌُﻮﻥَ
(22
আমার কি হল যে,
যিনি আমাকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন
এবং যার
কাছে তোমরা প্রত্যাবর্তিত
হবে, আমি তাঁর এবাদত করব
না?
”And why should I
not worship Him
(Allâh Alone) Who
has created me and
to Whom you shall
be returned.
ﺃَﺃَﺗَّﺨِﺬُ ﻣِﻦ ﺩُﻭﻧِﻪِ ﺁﻟِﻬَﺔً ﺇِﻥ
ﻳُﺮِﺩْﻥِ ﺍﻟﺮَّﺣْﻤَﻦ ﺑِﻀُﺮٍّ ﻻَّ
ﺗُﻐْﻦِ ﻋَﻨِّﻲ ﺷَﻔَﺎﻋَﺘُﻬُﻢْ ﺷَﻴْﺌًﺎ
ﻭَﻻَ ﻳُﻨﻘِﺬُﻭﻥِ
(23
আমি কি তাঁর
পরিবর্তে অন্যান্যদেরকে
উপাস্যরূপে গ্রহণ করব?
করুণাময়
যদি আমাকে কষ্টে নিপতিত
করতে চান, তবে তাদের সুপারিশ
আমার কোনই
কাজে আসবে না এবং তারা
আমাকে রক্ষাও
করতে পারবে না।
”Shall I take besides
Him âliha (gods), if
the Most Beneficent
(Allâh) intends me
any harm, their
intercession will be
of no use for me
whatsoever, nor can
they save me?
ﺇِﻧِّﻲ ﺇِﺫًﺍ ﻟَّﻔِﻲ ﺿَﻼَﻝٍ ﻣُّﺒِﻴﻦٍ
(24
এরূপ করলে আমি প্রকাশ্য
পথভ্রষ্টতায় পতিত হব।
”Then verily, I should
be in plain error.
ﺇِﻧِّﻲ ﺁﻣَﻨﺖُ ﺑِﺮَﺑِّﻜُﻢْ
ﻓَﺎﺳْﻤَﻌُﻮﻥِ

আমি নিশ্চিতভাবে তোমাদের
পালনকর্তার প্রতি বিশ্বাস
স্থাপন করলাম। অতএব আমার
কাছ থেকে শুনে নাও।
Verily! I have
believed in your Lord,
so listen to me!”
ﻗِﻴﻞَ ﺍﺩْﺧُﻞِ ﺍﻟْﺠَﻨَّﺔَ ﻗَﺎﻝَ ﻳَﺎ
ﻟَﻴْﺖَ ﻗَﻮْﻣِﻲ ﻳَﻌْﻠَﻤُﻮﻥَ
(26
তাকে বলা হল, জান্নাতে প্রবেশ
কর। সে বলল হায়, আমার
সম্প্রদায় যদি কোন
ক্রমে জানতে পারত-
It was said (to him
when the
disbelievers killed
him): ”Enter
Paradise.” He said:
”Would that my
people knew!
ﺑِﻤَﺎ ﻏَﻔَﺮَ ﻟِﻲ ﺭَﺑِّﻲ ﻭَﺟَﻌَﻠَﻨِﻲ
ﻣِﻦَ ﺍﻟْﻤُﻜْﺮَﻣِﻴﻦَ
(27
যে আমার পরওয়ারদেগার
আমাকে ক্ষমা করেছেন
এবং আমাকে সম্মানিতদের
অন্তর্ভুক্ত করেছেন।
”That my Lord (Allâh)
has forgiven me, and
made me of the
honoured ones!”
ﻭَﻣَﺎ ﺃَﻧﺰَﻟْﻨَﺎ ﻋَﻠَﻰ ﻗَﻮْﻣِﻪِ ﻣِﻦ
ﺑَﻌْﺪِﻩِ ﻣِﻦْ ﺟُﻨﺪٍ ﻣِّﻦَ ﺍﻟﺴَّﻤَﺎﺀ
ﻭَﻣَﺎ ﻛُﻨَّﺎ ﻣُﻨﺰِﻟِﻴﻦَ
(28
তারপর আমি তার সম্প্রদায়ের
উপর আকাশ থেকে কোন
বাহিনী অবতীর্ণ
করিনি এবং আমি (বাহিনী)
অবতরণকারীও না।
And We sent not
against his people
after him a host from
heaven, nor do We
send (such a thing).
ﺇِﻥ ﻛَﺎﻧَﺖْ ﺇِﻻَّ ﺻَﻴْﺤَﺔً ﻭَﺍﺣِﺪَﺓً
ﻓَﺈِﺫَﺍ ﻫُﻢْ ﺧَﺎﻣِﺪُﻭﻥَ
(29
বস্তুতঃ এ ছিল এক মহানাদ।
অতঃপর সঙ্গে সঙ্গে সবাই
স্তদ্ধ হয়ে গেল।
It was but one Saihah
(shout, etc.) and lo!
They (all) were silent
(dead-destroyed).
ﻳَﺎ ﺣَﺴْﺮَﺓً ﻋَﻠَﻰ ﺍﻟْﻌِﺒَﺎﺩِ ﻣَﺎ
ﻳَﺄْﺗِﻴﻬِﻢ ﻣِّﻦ ﺭَّﺳُﻮﻝٍ ﺇِﻻَّ ﻛَﺎﻧُﻮﺍ
ﺑِﻪِ ﻳَﺴْﺘَﻬْﺰِﺅُﻭﻥ
(30
বান্দাদের জন্যে আক্ষেপ যে,
তাদের কাছে এমন কোন রসূলই
আগমন করেনি যাদের
প্রতি তারা বিদ্রুপ করে না।
Alas for mankind!
There never came a
Messenger to them
but they used to
mock at him.
