38) সূরা ছোয়াদ (মক্কায় অবতীর্ণ), আয়াত সংখ্যা 88

ﻗَﺎﻟُﻮﺍ ﺭَﺑَّﻨَﺎ ﻣَﻦ ﻗَﺪَّﻡَ ﻟَﻨَﺎ ﻫَﺬَﺍ
ﻓَﺰِﺩْﻩُ ﻋَﺬَﺍﺑًﺎ ﺿِﻌْﻔًﺎ ﻓِﻲ
ﺍﻟﻨَّﺎﺭِ
(61
তারা বলবে, হে আমাদের
পালনকর্তা, যে আমাদেরকে এর
সম্মুখীন করেছে,
আপনি জাহান্নামে তার
শাস্তি দ্বিগুণ করে দিন।
They will say: ”Our
Lord! Whoever
brought this upon us,
add to him a double
torment in the Fire!”
ﻭَﻗَﺎﻟُﻮﺍ ﻣَﺎ ﻟَﻨَﺎ ﻟَﺎ ﻧَﺮَﻯ ﺭِﺟَﺎﻟًﺎ
ﻛُﻨَّﺎ ﻧَﻌُﺪُّﻫُﻢ ﻣِّﻦَ ﺍﻟْﺄَﺷْﺮَﺍﺭِ
(62
তারা আরও বলবে, আমাদের
কি হল যে,
আমরা যাদেরকে মন্দ লোক
বলে গণ্য করতাম,
তাদেরকে এখানে দেখছি না।
And they will say:
”What is the matter
with us that we see
not men whom we
used to count among
the bad ones?”
ﺃَﺗَّﺨَﺬْﻧَﺎﻫُﻢْ ﺳِﺨْﺮِﻳًّﺎ ﺃَﻡْ
ﺯَﺍﻏَﺖْ ﻋَﻨْﻬُﻢُ ﺍﻟْﺄَﺑْﺼَﺎﺭُ
(63
আমরা কি অহেতুক
তাদেরকে ঠাট্টার পাত্র
করে নিয়েছিলাম, না আমাদের
দৃষ্টি ভুল করছে?
Did we take them as
an object of mockery,
or have (our) eyes
failed to perceive
them?”
ﺇِﻥَّ ﺫَﻟِﻚَ ﻟَﺤَﻖٌّ ﺗَﺨَﺎﺻُﻢُ
ﺃَﻫْﻞِ ﺍﻟﻨَّﺎﺭِ
(64
এটা অর্থাৎ জাহান্নামীদের
পারস্পরিক বাক-
বিতন্ডা অবশ্যম্ভাবী।
Verily, that is the very
truth, the mutual
dispute of the people
of the Fire!
ﻗُﻞْ ﺇِﻧَّﻤَﺎ ﺃَﻧَﺎ ﻣُﻨﺬِﺭٌ ﻭَﻣَﺎ ﻣِﻦْ
ﺇِﻟَﻪٍ ﺇِﻟَّﺎ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪُ ﺍﻟْﻮَﺍﺣِﺪُ ﺍﻟْﻘَﻬَّﺎﺭُ
(65
বলুন, আমি তো একজন
সতর্ককারী মাত্র এবং এক
পরাক্রমশালী আল্লাহ ব্যতীত
কোন উপাস্য নেই।
Say (O Muhammad
SAW): ”I am only a
warner and there is
no Ilâh (God) except
Allâh (none has the
right to be
worshipped but
Allâh) the One, the
Irresistible,
ﺭَﺏُّ ﺍﻟﺴَّﻤَﺎﻭَﺍﺕِ ﻭَﺍﻟْﺄَﺭْﺽِ
ﻭَﻣَﺎ ﺑَﻴْﻨَﻬُﻤَﺎ ﺍﻟْﻌَﺰِﻳﺰُ ﺍﻟْﻐَﻔَّﺎﺭُ
(66
তিনি আসমান-যমীন ও
এতদুভয়ের মধ্যবর্তী সব
কিছুর পালনকর্তা,
পরাক্রমশালী, মার্জনাকারী।
”The Lord of the
heavens and the
earth and all that is
between them, the
All-Mighty, the Oft-
Forgiving.”
ﻗُﻞْ ﻫُﻮَ ﻧَﺒَﺄٌ ﻋَﻈِﻴﻢٌ
(67
বলুন, এটি এক মহাসংবাদ,
Say: ”That (this
Qur’ân) is a great
news,
ﺃَﻧﺘُﻢْ ﻋَﻨْﻪُ ﻣُﻌْﺮِﺿُﻮﻥَ
(68
যা থেকে তোমরা মুখ
ফিরিয়ে নিয়েছ।
”From which you
turn away!
ﻣَﺎ ﻛَﺎﻥَ ﻟِﻲ ﻣِﻦْ ﻋِﻠْﻢٍ ﺑِﺎﻟْﻤَﻠَﺈِ
ﺍﻟْﺄَﻋْﻠَﻰ ﺇِﺫْ ﻳَﺨْﺘَﺼِﻤُﻮﻥَ
(69
ঊর্ধ্ব জগৎ সম্পর্কে আমার
কোন জ্ঞান ছিল না যখন
ফেরেশতারা কথাবার্তা বলছিল।
”I had no knowledge
of the chiefs (angels)
on high when they
were disputing and
discussing (about the
creation of Adam).
ﺇِﻥ ﻳُﻮﺣَﻰ ﺇِﻟَﻲَّ ﺇِﻟَّﺎ ﺃَﻧَّﻤَﺎ ﺃَﻧَﺎ
ﻧَﺬِﻳﺮٌ ﻣُّﺒِﻴﻦٌ
(70
আমার কাছে এ ওহীই আসে যে,
আমি একজন স্পষ্ট
সতর্ককারী।
”Only this has been
inspired to me, that I
am a plain warner.”
ﺇِﺫْ ﻗَﺎﻝَ ﺭَﺑُّﻚَ ﻟِﻠْﻤَﻠَﺎﺋِﻜَﺔِ ﺇِﻧِّﻲ
ﺧَﺎﻟِﻖٌ ﺑَﺸَﺮًﺍ ﻣِﻦ ﻃِﻴﻦٍ
(71
যখন আপনার
পালনকর্তা ফেরেশতাগণকে
বললেন, আমি মাটির মানুষ
সৃষ্টি করব।
(Remember) when
your Lord said to the
angels: ”Truly, I am
going to create man
from clay”.
ﻓَﺈِﺫَﺍ ﺳَﻮَّﻳْﺘُﻪُ ﻭَﻧَﻔَﺨْﺖُ ﻓِﻴﻪِ
ﻣِﻦ ﺭُّﻭﺣِﻲ ﻓَﻘَﻌُﻮﺍ ﻟَﻪُ
ﺳَﺎﺟِﺪِﻳﻦَ
(72
যখন আমি তাকে সুষম করব
এবং তাতে আমার রূহ ফুঁকে দেব,
তখন তোমরা তার
সম্মুখে সেজদায় নত হয়ে যেয়ো।
So when I have
fashioned him and
breathed into him
(his) soul created by
Me, then you fall
down prostrate to
him.”
ﻓَﺴَﺠَﺪَ ﺍﻟْﻤَﻠَﺎﺋِﻜَﺔُ ﻛُﻠُّﻬُﻢْ
ﺃَﺟْﻤَﻌُﻮﻥَ
(73
অতঃপর সমস্ত ফেরেশতাই
একযোগে সেজদায় নত হল,
So the angels
prostrated
themselves, all of
them:
ﺇِﻟَّﺎ ﺇِﺑْﻠِﻴﺲَ ﺍﺳْﺘَﻜْﺒَﺮَ ﻭَﻛَﺎﻥَ
ﻣِﻦْ ﺍﻟْﻜَﺎﻓِﺮِﻳﻦَ
(74
কিন্তু ইবলীস; সে অহংকার
করল এবং অস্বীকারকারীদের
অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ে গেল।
Except Iblîs (Satan)
he was proud and
was one of the
disbelievers.
ﻗَﺎﻝَ ﻳَﺎ ﺇِﺑْﻠِﻴﺲُ ﻣَﺎ ﻣَﻨَﻌَﻚَ ﺃَﻥ
ﺗَﺴْﺠُﺪَ ﻟِﻤَﺎ ﺧَﻠَﻘْﺖُ ﺑِﻴَﺪَﻱَّ
ﺃَﺳْﺘَﻜْﺒَﺮْﺕَ ﺃَﻡْ ﻛُﻨﺖَ ﻣِﻦَ
ﺍﻟْﻌَﺎﻟِﻴﻦَ
(75
আল্লাহ বললেন, হে ইবলীস,
আমি স্বহস্তে যাকে সৃষ্টি
করেছি, তার
সম্মুখে সেজদা করতে তোমাকে
কিসে বাধা দিল? তুমি অহংকার
করলে, না তুমি তার চেয়ে উচ্চ
মর্যাদা সম্পন্ন?
(Allâh) said: ”O Iblîs
(Satan)! What
prevents you from
prostrating yourself
to one whom I have
created with Both My
Hands. Are you too
proud (to fall
prostrate to Adam) or
are you one of the
high exalted?”
ﻗَﺎﻝَ ﺃَﻧَﺎ ﺧَﻴْﺮٌ ﻣِّﻨْﻪُ ﺧَﻠَﻘْﺘَﻨِﻲ
ﻣِﻦ ﻧَّﺎﺭٍ ﻭَﺧَﻠَﻘْﺘَﻪُ ﻣِﻦ ﻃِﻴﻦٍ
(76
সে বললঃ আমি তার
চেয়ে উত্তম
আপনি আমাকে আগুনের
দ্বারা সৃষ্টি করেছেন, আর
তাকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন মাটির
দ্বারা।
[Iblîs (Satan)] said: ”I
am better than he,
You created me from
fire, and You created
him from clay.”
ﻗَﺎﻝَ ﻓَﺎﺧْﺮُﺝْ ﻣِﻨْﻬَﺎ ﻓَﺈِﻧَّﻚَ
ﺭَﺟِﻴﻢٌ
(77
আল্লাহ বললেনঃ বের হয়ে যা,
এখান থেকে। কারণ, তুই
অভিশপ্ত।
(Allâh) said: ”Then
get out from here, for
verily, you are
outcast.
ﻭَﺇِﻥَّ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻚَ ﻟَﻌْﻨَﺘِﻲ ﺇِﻟَﻰ ﻳَﻮْﻡِ
ﺍﻟﺪِّﻳﻦِ
(78
তোর প্রতি আমার এ অভিশাপ
বিচার দিবস পর্যন্ত
স্থায়ী হবে।
”And verily!, My Curse
is on you till the Day
of Recompense.”
ﻗَﺎﻝَ ﺭَﺏِّ ﻓَﺄَﻧﻈِﺮْﻧِﻲ ﺇِﻟَﻰ
ﻳَﻮْﻡِ ﻳُﺒْﻌَﺜُﻮﻥَ
(79
সে বললঃ হে আমার পালনকর্তা,
আপনি আমাকে পুনরুত্থান
দিবস পর্যন্ত অবকাশ দিন।
[Iblîs (Satan)] said:
”My Lord! Give me
then respite till the
Day the (dead) are
resurrected.”
ﻗَﺎﻝَ ﻓَﺈِﻧَّﻚَ ﻣِﻦَ ﺍﻟْﻤُﻨﻈَﺮِﻳﻦَ
(80
আল্লঅহ
বললেনঃ তোকে অবকাশ
দেয়া হল।
(Allâh) said: ”Verily!
You are of those
allowed respite
ﺇِﻟَﻰ ﻳَﻮْﻡِ ﺍﻟْﻮَﻗْﺖِ ﺍﻟْﻤَﻌْﻠُﻮﻡِ
(81
সে সময়ের দিন পর্যন্ত
যা জানা।
”Till the Day of the
time appointed.”
ﻗَﺎﻝَ ﻓَﺒِﻌِﺰَّﺗِﻚَ ﻟَﺄُﻏْﻮِﻳَﻨَّﻬُﻢْ
ﺃَﺟْﻤَﻌِﻴﻦَ
(82
সে বলল, আপনার ইযযতের
কসম, আমি অবশ্যই তাদের
সবাইকে বিপথগামী করে দেব।
[Iblîs (Satan)] said:
”By Your Might, then
I will surely mislead
them all,
ﺇِﻟَّﺎ ﻋِﺒَﺎﺩَﻙَ ﻣِﻨْﻬُﻢُ
ﺍﻟْﻤُﺨْﻠَﺼِﻴﻦَ
(83
তবে তাদের মধ্যে যারা আপনার
খাঁটি বান্দা, তাদেরকে ছাড়া।
”Except Your chosen
slaves amongst them
(faithful, obedient,
true believers of
Islâmic Monotheism)
.”
ﻗَﺎﻝَ ﻓَﺎﻟْﺤَﻖُّ ﻭَﺍﻟْﺤَﻖَّ ﺃَﻗُﻮﻝُ
(84
আল্লাহ বললেনঃ তাই ঠিক, আর
আমি সত্য বলছি-
(Allâh) said: ”The
Truth is, and the
Truth I say,
ﻟَﺄَﻣْﻠَﺄَﻥَّ ﺟَﻬَﻨَّﻢَ ﻣِﻨﻚَ ﻭَﻣِﻤَّﻦ
ﺗَﺒِﻌَﻚَ ﻣِﻨْﻬُﻢْ ﺃَﺟْﻤَﻌِﻴﻦَ
(85
তোর দ্বারা আর তাদের
মধ্যে যারা তোর অনুসরণ
করবে তাদের
দ্বারা আমি জাহান্নাম পূর্ণ
করব।
That I will fill Hell
with you [Iblîs
(Satan)] and those of
them (mankind) that
follow you,
together.”
ﻗُﻞْ ﻣَﺎ ﺃَﺳْﺄَﻟُﻜُﻢْ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻪِ ﻣِﻦْ
ﺃَﺟْﺮٍ ﻭَﻣَﺎ ﺃَﻧَﺎ ﻣِﻦَ ﺍﻟْﻤُﺘَﻜَﻠِّﻔِﻴﻦَ
(86
বলুন, আমি তোমাদের
কাছে কোন প্রতিদান চাই
না আর আমি লৌকিকতাকারীও
নই।
Say (O Muhammad
SAW): ”No wage do I
ask of you for this
(the Qur’ân), nor am I
one of the
Mutakallifûn (those
who pretend and
fabricate things
which do not exist).
ﺇِﻥْ ﻫُﻮَ ﺇِﻟَّﺎ ﺫِﻛْﺮٌ ﻟِّﻠْﻌَﺎﻟَﻤِﻴﻦَ
(87
এটা তো বিশ্ববাসীর জন্যে এক
উপদেশ মাত্র।
”It (this Qur’ân) is
only a Reminder for
all the ’Alamîn
(mankind and jinns).
ﻭَﻟَﺘَﻌْﻠَﻤُﻦَّ ﻧَﺒَﺄَﻩُ ﺑَﻌْﺪَ ﺣِﻴﻦٍ
(88
তোমরা কিছু কাল পরে এর
সংবাদ অবশ্যই জানতে পারবে।
”And you shall
certainly know the
truth of it after a
while.”
